The 2013 Spring Initiation Ceremony was held on March 24, 2013.  Dr. Pat Crist, Professor and PKP-DU Chapter Vice President, gave the keynote address entitled "Rallying Optimism and Resilence."

2011 Spring Initiation Ceremony

Invitation letters were sent February 22, 2011 to junior students in the top 7% of their class and senior graduate students in the top 10% of their class.

Come and join our new initiates as we also celebrate the 35th anniversary of Duquesne University's PKP Chapter 187.

Celebrate International Literacy Day on September 8 by reading with a child!  Join members of the Duquesne University Phi Kappa Phi chapter, School of Education faculty and students, and Gumberg Library staff as we read with children from neighborhood daycare centers.  Books will be available in the Beginning With Books Storymobile. Partner daycare centers include Hill House, Mercy Daycare, and Duquesne University daycare.

This special event will be the kick-off for the Literacy grant received by Duquesne University’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.  Books purchased with the grant will augment the resources on the Beginning With Books Storymobiles, helping children in Pittsburgh’s underserved neighborhoods.
