Computer Lab Software Information

CTS develops and tests the core software image that is installed on every public and departmentally operated computer facility. 

The core lab software suite includes Microsoft Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat Reader, EndNote, My IT Lab, SPSS, SAS, and JMP, Internet Explorer, Flash Player, Shockwave Player, QuickTime Player, Windows Media Player, JAVA plug-ins, Silverlight, PowerDVD, Roxio, MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Project), Save As PDF plug-in, Magnifier, and Kaspersky AntiVirus.

Each instructor is responsible for testing the reliability and compatibility of their own software on the systems in a computer lab facility. You will receive a call from CTS to schedule a test of your software in the facility you have indicated. If you do not receive a call within five weeks prior to the start of the semester, please call the CTS Help Desk at 412-396-4357 or 1-888-355-8226.

CTS will complete software installations based on a first received, first completed basis.  The table below outlines what to expect with reference to the time differential between requests, testing, and installation.
