MultiPass


Your MultiPass username and password gives you access to DORI, Blackboard, Email, and WiFi.  You are required to change your password every four months. Two weeks prior to your password expiration date, you will receive an email notifying you to change your password. Additionally, you will see a reminder to change your password anytime you log into DORI during this two-week period.

Your MultiPass, Email, DORI, and Blackboard accounts will be automatically created when you have been entered into our administrative system, Banner. As a student, this will occur when you submit your deposit to the university; as a faculty, administrator, or staff member, your account will activate when you are made active in Banner by Human Resources.

Students Account will be auto-deleted shortly after graduation

Please Note: Removal of MultiPass will result in the loss of all accounts associated with MultiPass (i.e. Email, Blackboard, and DORI) as well as programs associated with your Email account such as Office 365 subscription.


MultiPass FAQ

Do I have a MultiPass account?

All Duquesne students, faculty, and staff have a MultiPass. Incoming students receive their MultiPass accounts when they send in a deposit. All users need to initialize their accounts and create a MultiPass password.

Whom do I contact with questions?

The CTS Help Desk can be reached by phone at 412.396.HELP (4357) or toll free at 1.888.355.8226. You can also reach the CTS Help Desk by email at help@duq.edu. Or, feel free to stop into our walk-in location located on the 2nd floor of the Duquesne Union. No appointments necessary.

How do I locate my username?

Visit duq.edu/multipass and click on the Setup MultiPass button. From there, you can follow the on-screen prompts to obtain your MultiPass username.

Why won't my MultiPass accept my personal information (birthday, ZIP code)?

ZIP code is the permanent home address that is on record with the university. If you are an international student, you may need to confirm your ZIP code with the Office of International Programs. They can be reached at 412.396.6113.

If you are trying to initialize your MultiPass account and your birthday or ZIP code is not being accepted, you should contact the CTS Help Desk at help@duq.edu or 412.396.HELP (4357) or 1.888.355.8226 to verify that the information on file is different than what you believe it should be.

Students:

Once the Help Desk verifies this information, you may be instructed to contact your academic advisor or the Registrar's Office to have the information updated if it is incorrect.

Faculty/Staff:

Once the Help Desk verifies this information, you may be instructed to contact Human Resources to have the information updated if it is incorrect.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Visit duq.edu/multipass, enter your MultiPass username, and click "Forgot Password." On the following screen, you can choose to reset your password via your secondary email address (if registered) or secret questions.

Why won't MultiPass allow me to change my password?
  • If your MultiPass account is locked out, you will not be able to reset your password. You can unlock your account by visiting duq.edu/multipass, enter your MultiPass username, and click Change MultiPass. On the following screen, you can select Unlock MultiPass to unlock your account.
  • When choosing a password, make sure it is a NEW, unique password. MultiPass will not allow you to use a password you have previously used.
  • Make sure your password complies with our password policy, listed here

Can I use my MultiPass to log in to my computer?

All computers with a Windows OS, including CTS lab computers, will require users to log in with their MultiPass username and password.

Why do I need a strong password?

Your passwords are the keys you use to access personal information that you've stored on your computer and in your online accounts.

If cyber-criminals or other malicious users steal this information, they can use your name to open new credit card accounts, apply for a mortgage, or pose as you in online transactions. In many cases, you will not notice these attacks until it is too late.

The stronger you make your password, the more difficult it will be for a hacker or other cyber-criminal to steal your identity.

Quikpay

Students and parents can view bills and make tuition payments through QuikPAY®. To access QuikPAY®, log in to DORI and select Self Service Banner > Student Information > Student Accounts > Access QuikPAY.
