The new MultiPass will go live on March 8th!
Accepted students can now access MultiPass
Students who are accepted by the University but who are not yet deposited will now be given a MultiPass account that will grant them limited access to DORI so that they can view helpful resources, explore Duquesne's intranet, and feel welcomed into the campus community.
Setup MultiPass using D# or MultiPass username
Setting up your MultiPass account will no longer require personally-identifiable information, such as birthday, zip code, or last four of your social security number. Students and employees will now setup their MultiPass accounts using either their D# or MultiPass username. D#s are provided to incoming students via the admissions process, and MultiPass usernames are sent to an employee's secondary email once they are hired by HR.
Secondary Email is now mandatory
Listing a secondary email account in MultiPass will help keep your credentials safe and expedite communications between the CTS Help Desk and yourself if your account ever becomes compromised. A secondary email also allows you to request a password reset link if you ever forget the password for your MultiPass account and cannot access your @duq.edu email.
What Does MultiPass Grant Access To?
Your MultiPass account will grant you access to different resources based on your current role at Duquesne University. These roles and the specific access they grant are detailed below.
|Accepted Student||Current Student||Employee|
|An accepted student is a student who has been offered a spot at Duquesne University, but has not yet submitted their deposit to attend the University.||A current student is a student who is enrolled in classes at Duquesne University or who has graduated within the past year.||An employee is a person who is paid by Duquesne University for wages or salary|
|Your MultiPass credentials will give you access to the accepted student portal in DORI, where you can learn more about Duquesne and perform helpful functions such as pay your deposit.||If you are a current student or employee of Duquesne University, your MultiPass username and password will give you access to DORI, Blackboard, Email, and WiFi.||If you are a current student or employee of Duquesne University, your MultiPass username and password will give you access to DORI, Blackboard, Email, and WiFi.|
Please note: You are required to change your MultiPass password every four months. Two weeks prior to your password expiration date you will be notified to reset your password via email and when you login to DORI.
When will my MultiPass account be created?
Your MultiPass, Email, DORI, and Blackboard accounts will be automatically created when you have been entered into our administrative system, Banner. As a student, this will occur when you are accepted by the University. As an accepted student you will have access to certain features in DORI (defined below). After you submit your deposit to the university, you will gain the same access that a current student at the University would have.
As a faculty, administrator, or staff member, your account will activate when you are made active in Banner by Human Resources.
When will my MultiPass account be removed?
|Employee||Access will be removed within 24 hours after your last day|
|Accepted Student||Access will be removed shortly after declining an offer from the university|
|Current Student||Account will be auto-deleted shortly after graduation|
Please Note: Removal of MultiPass will result in the loss of all accounts associated with MultiPass (i.e. Email, Blackboard, and DORI) as well as programs associated with your Email account such as Office 365 subscription. This includes any third-party accounts that you have configured your @duq.edu email as a primary account.
CTS recommends never using your @duq.edu email address to register for non-Duquesne-affiliated accounts.
Please consult our checklist if you anticipate losing access to your MultiPass account: http://duq.edu/about/campus/computing-and-technology/your-accounts/information-technology-graduation-checklist
