It's that time of year!
March Madness at the Center for the Catholic Intellectual Tradition
** Play to win an Ipad mini! **
The Center has come up with 64 Catholic intellectuals from the past to the present, around the globe from Northwest Pennsylvania to Asia, male and female, saints and sinners. Some you might know, many we hope will be new to you. To give you hints and help, the names are hyperlinked to internet information about them - just click.
They are divided into four categories:
- Science & Math
- Professions and Activists/Advocates
"Like" us on Facebook! We will be posting all of the latest results and information there. Comment, ask questions, and advocate for your favorite Catholic intellectuals.
Each week, we will tabulate the ballots, update the brackets, and post the next ballot (don't worry, the ballots get smaller each week - 64 names, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2).
But there's a catch to make it more challenging - we have a secret formula for weighting each person's ballot. When you select your favorite from each bracket, you're not only voting, but you're predicting who everyone else will vote for as well. The March Madness tournament is open only to Duquesne University students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
Vote for your favorites by ballot, we tabulate them, and post the results to the bracket. It's anyone's race, and we won't know who wins until the very end!
Below are the deadlines for playing:
