What does it mean to build authentic relationships in communities closest to campus? We will explore creating sustainable and collaborative partnerships at this interactive event. This year, the session will feature work happening in the Uptown neighborhood and we will convene in a "pop-up" space that explores the past, present and future of Uptown. Using a speed-dating format, attendees will then visit three stations discussing different regional issues including community trauma, greenspace, immigration and refugee resettlement. Attendees will spend time interacting with faculty and staff of Duquesne University and their community partners learning about the work created through these collaborations. This event is open to faculty, staff, students, and community members.
