    Creating a Powerful Online Learning Experience

    Online Blackboard Mini-Course

    Do you want to enhance your online teaching skills and create a more powerful learning experience for your students? This five week mini-course consists of five modules and two synchronous sessions. You will learn about

    Creating a Welcoming Online Learning Community
    Presenting Your Course Content in Creative Ways
    Using Collaborate for Synchronous Experiences
    Successfully Engaging Online Learners with Course Tools
    Managing Your Time and Communication with Students
    Effectively Assessing Students' Online Learning

    The modules include brief readings, demonstrations and activities that will help you to enhance your online courses. If you cannot attend the synchronous sessions, you can watch the archived captures at your convenience.  The mini-course requires about 1.5 hours of your time each week. In order to receive a letter recognizing completion of the course, you must participate in four of the five modules' activities or discussions.
