Orientations for Faculty and Graduate Students
The Center for Teaching Excellence offers programs to welcome and orient all who are new to the teaching community at Duquesne, as well as colleagues who are making the transition to a new role (e.g., moving from adjunct or TA to full-time faculty). Take a look at Getting Started: Teaching at Duquesne.
The Fall orientation will take place before the start of classes on August 16, 2018 from 4:00-8pm in the Africa Room of the Student Union. A light dinner is provided. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from attending the orientation, please contact CTE (at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412.396.5177) so that we can make alternative arrangements.
The purpose of the full-time faculty orientation is to prepare faculty to thrive in teaching, serving and conducting research in the context of the Duquesne University Mission. The 2018 orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 21 from 8:00am to 3:00pm in the Power Center Ballroom. More details will follow. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from attending the orientation, please contact CTE (at email@example.com or 412.396.5177) so that we can make alternative arrangements.
