The resources listed here include a wide variety of topics related to teaching and learning. All resources (except for books) are available online.
Books
CTE has a special collection of books on teaching, learning and higher education, searchable through the DUCAT catalogue.
Many titles are also available for purchase from the Duquesne Barnes & Noble book store. These select books are located on the “CTE recommended” shelves.
Many chapters from Tools for Teaching (Barbara Gross Davis, Jossey-Bass, 1993) are available online. The 2nd edition is available for loan from CTE.

Helpful Blogs on University Teaching
Derek Bluff, the Director of Vanderbilt University's Center for Teaching, writes on educational technology, visual thinking, student motivation, faculty development, how people learn, social media, and more.
Maryellen Weimer, proffesor emeritus at Penn State Berks and editor of The Teaching Professor Newsletter, writes on the scholarship of teaching and learning, classroom policies, active learning, assignment strategies, assessment, and student performance.
