So You have an Invention: May 20, 2016
A CLE and Professional Education Seminar Series
So You Have an INVENTION?
The Patent Process from Conception to Commercialization
Friday, May 20
1 - 4:30 p.m.
204 HANLEY HALL, SCHOOL OF LAW
From software to biomedical engineering and beyond, coming up with a marketable idea is only half the battle. The next challenge facing the new inventor is the critical process of obtaining a patent that has teeth. Whether to ensure the inventor his or her just rewards or to fulfill the terms of a grant, to protect the public interest or to provide further advantages to a university or business, effective patent protection benefits everyone.
Join us for our final Forensic Fridays seminar of the season as we learn all about the patent process, from conception to commercialization and from licensing to litigation. Featuring patent attorney and former neuroscientist Dr. Gwen R. Acker Wood, intellectual property trial lawyer and technology company organizer Anthony H. Handal and patent attorney Monami D. Roy, this seminar is pre-approved by the Pennsylvania CLE Board for three (3) hours of substantive CLE credit.
