Emergency Management

Life safety is the highest priority at Duquesne; therefore it is critical that the equipment that we depend on in emergencies functions properly. Duquesne goes great lengths to comply with all applicable codes and regulations to ensure life safety. This includes engineering controls such as stairwell pressurizations, smoke detectors, fire-rated doors, signage, sprinklers, notification systems with a set dB level and Hz, and policies and procedures that include horizontal, vertical, and stay-in-place evacuations as well as the Floor Marshal Program. The following are applicable programs, policies, and guidance that help ensure the protection of people, the environment, and prevent property loss.
