President's Spirit of Duquesne Staff Award

The President's Spirit of Duquesne Staff Award is the highest honor Duquesne University bestows. This award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the Duquesne University mission of serving God by serving students through commitment to excellence in education; concern for moral and spiritual values; maintaining an atmosphere open to diversity; and service to the community. It is awarded to the staff member who consistently demonstrates excellence in the workplace, dedication to Spiritan values, and enhances the reputation of Duquesne University. The employee transcends the duties and responsibilities that are expected to be fulfilled throughout the normal course of employment.

Criteria

Nominee:

  • Supports projects and events both inside and outside of their own department
  • Participates in significant service and/or engagement at both the University and in the local community or professional organizations
  • Displays positive interpersonal relationships through collaboration and a team-oriented approach
  • Pursues opportunities for personal and professional development
