How We Support Students
The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) offers the following resources and services:
-
Finding service sites -
Sometimes, though not often, faculty ask students to find their own service sites. The Office of Service-Learning can help students find community partners that fit course content, interests, schedule, and transportation needs.
-
Assistance Obtaining Clearances -
Students often need various permissions and clearances in order to participate in service-learning activities that involve vulnerable populations. Access the step-by-step guide here.
-
Documenting Service-Learning Experiences -
Sometimes students need documentation of their service activities. The OSL can provide an official letter recognizing and documenting the effort put forth in service-learning classes.
