Mr. David L. Woten, Jr. has traveled throughout the state and country as a musician, conductor, and guest speaker. He currently teaches at Carson Middle School in the North Allegheny School District. In 2008, Mr. Woten was selected as the "Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year", "Slippery Rock University Young Alumni Award Winner", and was inducted into the Beaver Valley Musicians Hall of Fame. He has also been recognized by "Who's Who Among American Teachers".
Woten has been the guest conductor for numerous choral festivals throughout Pennsylvania. While on the American Choral Director's Association Board of Directors, he founded a Junior High Honors Choir Festival that continues to be featured at the annual ACDA summer conference. His guest speaking appearances include the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association State Conference, the American Association of School Administrators in San Francisco, the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ, Carnegie Mellon University, Slippery Rock University, Clarion University, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Woten is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Education, American Choral Directors Association, and Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.
