Bio

Dr. Bruce Dickson is Director of Operations/Senior Ecologist at RedHorse Environmental. Dr. Dickson is a broadly trained ecologist with a specialization in aquatic sciences. He has 35 years of experience in various capacities in environmental consulting in the U.S. and Canada. He is experienced in fisheries and wildlife habitat assessment and management, environmental aspects of mining, oil and gas, agriculture, forestry, and land development.

Bruce's work experience also includes serving as a liaison to Federal and State regulatory agencies, Conservation Districts, conservation organizations, and non-profits. He has completed wetland delineation and compensation design/monitoring projects, stream and fisheries assessments, NEPA Environmental Assessments and EIS submissions, submissions of federal, provincial, and state environmental permits, water resources research, water quality and watershed assessments, and stream restoration projects. Dr. Dickson has completed projects for USDA, USFS, USACE, DOD, EPA, PADEP/DCNR, large corporations, small businesses, and non-profits.

He received degrees from Penn State University, Slippery Rock State College, Clarion University, and the University of Illinois. Dr. Dickson has taught field courses (Stream Ecology; Environmental Management) at the University of Pittsburgh's Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology and has developed and delivered workshops and educational programs for various organizations.
