Dr. Frederick W. Fochtman is the Director of the Master of Science in Forensic Science and Law Program in the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Duquesne University. He is also an Associate Professor of Pharmacology-Toxicology in the School of Pharmacy. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and environmental and forensic toxicology.
Dr. Fochtman is a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Toxicology. He is the author of a number of scientific presentations and journal articles in the areas of toxicology and forensic science. He also serves as a board member for the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and a past member of the Drug Testing Advisory Board for the Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Fochtman served as the Director and Chief Toxicologist of the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office Forensic Laboratory Division from 1998 until 2008.
