Bio

Imac Reynaga Holmes is currently a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Counseling, Psychology, and Special Education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Instructor Holmes attended Cairn University and received a Masters in Christian Counseling and is completing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision through Argosy University in Washington DC.  Instructor Holmes is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and certified anger management specialist.  She has specialized training in multicultural family therapy, co-occurring disorders and holds a Clinical license in the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.  Her research interests include multicultural issues in counseling, emotional intelligence, and parenting.  She is currently conducting research on counselors in training and the impact graduate training has on student multicultural competence and emotional intelligence.
