Jessica Mull is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and adjunct professor for the Music Therapy program at Duquesne University. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Ohio University and became board certified in 2005. In 2006 she also completed training to become a Certified Validation Worker and Alzheimer's support group leader. In 2007 she started a private practice catering to the needs of seniors in the greater Pittsburgh area. Today Mull Music Therapy continues to provide quality group and individual music therapy services to seniors living in care facilities as well as in the community.
Mrs. Mull has presented twice for the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania chapter's spring conference and at several senior care facilities providing in-services to staff and families. In 2010 she served as local co-host for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Music Therapy Association's (MAR-AMTA) annual conference. In addition to supervising practicum students in her private practice since 2014, Mrs. Mull was also chosen in 2015 to lead a grant funded music therapy program in partnership with Baptist Homes Society and Duquesne University which provided students with comprehensive, hands-on learning while helping dozens of clients reach their clinical goals and increase their general wellbeing and quality of life.
At Duquesne University, Mrs. Mull teaches the sophomore practicum course and can often be found serving as administrative assistant in the music therapy office. She is also a member of the Aging Research and Teaching Consortium (ARTC) and the Inter-Professional Education Committee (IPEC).
