I hold a PhD in Human Service - Criminal Justice from Capella University, a MPA from the University of Alaska, a MS from Webster University, and received my BS from Jacksonville State University in Alabama, with a dual major in Security and Criminal Justice. My research interests include police management, administration, intimate partner violence, and correlations of crime. My public service "careers" span 22 years in the fields of criminal justice, military service, and education. I am a former correctional officer of the State of Florida and have served in a variety of positions in the US Army Military Police Corps. As a college academician, I have acquired both online and traditional classroom experience in course planning and development, instruction, academic advising (traditional and non-traditional learners) and new faculty mentoring. I have served as adjunct faculty in criminal justice at Duquensne University and have taught at a variety of online universities, teaching undergraduate and graduate security, criminal justice, and public administration curriculum.
