Kevin is a native of Ashland, OR, and a U.S. Naval Academy graduate. He served for 26 years as a Naval Officer, flying A-6, F-18 and EA-6B aircraft, and transitioned to the private sector in 2012. While he spent most of his career as an aviator in the Pacific Northwest (Whidbey Island), he also endured three years at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, where he briefed the Secretary of Defense & Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff weekly, and spent some time in the West Wing with the President's National Security Advisor, advising on African operations. He finished his Naval career as the Chief of Staff of a Carrier Strike Group stationed in Everett, WA, where he led 6,500 personnel in deployed combat operations.
Kevin most recently worked as an Executive Coach for a small company based in the Northwest. While the clients usually came to them for financial reasons, when it came down to it, they really needed leadership/organizational development and communication skills, which is where Kevin is focused. He also works extensively with service-members as they make the transition from the military to the civilian workforce.
Kevin's wife works as a farmer and leases land near where they live in Anacortes, WA. Her business is called "Sustenance" and she sells her produce to local restaurants and at the Anacortes Farmers Market. They have two sons, 19 & 17 years old.
Kevin is also involved locally on the Skagit County Planning Commission, Leadership Skagit, as an Anacortes Rotary Club Board member and as a U.S. Naval Academy Blue & Gold Officer.
