Bio

Dr. Kasper has been a nurse for 26 years, sjpending the majority of her career in the emergency department. Nine of those years were with the US Air Force, the last 5 years as a flight nurse. She has been practicing as a forensic nurse, educator and program director for the last 15 years in the area of sexual assault.

Dr. Kasper is the outgoing president of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and has served on the Board of Directors for the last 5 years.

Dr. Kasper received her ADN from Northwestern Michigan College, Traverse City, Michigan, BSN from University of South Alabama, MSN-Acute Care NP from Northeastern University, Boston, and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern, Fort Lauderdale, FL with a concentration in trauma, wound healing/identification with practical application to forensic science and nursing.

  • Introducing forensic nursing into all nursing education
