PGY-1, Pharmacy Practice Residency, University of Florida & Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, 2010
I graduated from Duquesne University in 2009 with a PharmD. While at Duquesne, I discovered my love for teaching while assisting with music programs at Fox Chapel Area and Kiski Area high schools. After graduating, I matched at Shands Jacksonville for a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency and was exposed to areas of pharmacy from nutrition to management to critical care practice. While at Shands, I was also able to continue teaching by precepting students and participating in a teaching certificate program with the University of Florida.
I currently practice pharmacy at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit and host students in their Advanced Experiential Rotations during their 6th year. The pharmacy presence within the Critical Care Medicine team continues to develop and I look forward to its future.
Outside from pharmacy, I enjoy hockey, fishing, and food. I always will have a great passion for music.
