Expertise

Marinus Chijioke Iwuchukwu specializes in Interreligious Dialogue, Religious Pluralism, and Media and Religion. His Ph.D. dissertation, which focused on interreligious dialogue in modern media society using Jacques Dupuis's model of inclusive religious pluralism and Walter Ong's dialogic media, has been published into a book with the title: Media Ecology and Religious Pluralism: Engaging Walter Ong and Jacques Dupuis Toward Effective Interreligious Dialogue.

Dr. Iwuchukwu is the current chair of Duquesne University Christian-Muslim Dialogue committee and the International Outreach Editor for the Journal of Interreligious Dialogue. He is a co-editor of an upcomig book titled Christian Muslim Dialogue in the United States and Africa: Theological, Public Health, Political, and Sociological Challenges. He is also working on a manuscript for another upcoming book titled Muslim-Christian Dialogue in Post-Colonial Northern Nigeria and The Challenges of Inclusive Cultural and Religious Pluralism.

Working on a research study with two other colleagues on the negative impact of anti-Muslim sentiments on the Muslim community in Pittsburgh.

Currently collaborating with two other scholars as authors on a book titled Critical, Constructive, and Substantive Dialogue: Jews, Christians, and Muslims Getting Beyond the inhibitions to Effective Dialogue in Pluralistic Societies.
