Our Mission

In the Spiritan tradition, Duquesne University’s Office of International ProgramsPromote the global awareness and understanding central to a broad, well-balanced and fully integrated education;

  • Welcome students and faculty from throughout the world, and;
  • Encourage Duquesne University’s students and faculty to take advantage of opportunities to study and teach abroad.

    What We Do
    Office of International Programs assists:
    International Students
    Assists sstudents who are interested in attending Duquesne for either undergraduate or graduate programs
    Travels the world to meet with students and families about attending Duquesne and living in Pittsburgh
    Works closely with overseas college counselors to ensure that Duquesne can be the right "fit" for a student
    Assists international applicants and current students with the U.S. visa process and offers ongoing advisement
    Plans cultural events and activities that allow students to settle into their new environment well
    Study Abroad
    Manages the Italian Campus program and the International Study Center in Galway, Ireland especially for Duquesne studentsForges agreements with various third-party study abroad program providers to give students access to program throughout the worldDevelop short-term programs in conjunction with faculty for Duquesne studentsConducts information sessions throughout the year to inform students about the possibility of studying abroadOffers extensive individual advisement to help students identify and choose the right study abroad program for themOffice of International Programs Mission Statement
