Supporting the 7 Principles with Blackboard Learn

Looking for research-based strategies to implement in your online course? View the Blackboard Innovative Teaching Series webinar recording, Supporting the Seven Principles with Blackboard Learn (approximately 50 min). It focuses on the 7 Principles of Good Practice in Undergraduate Education and how they can be implemented in online courses using Blackboard. Even though the 7 Principles note Undergraduate Education, these principles can be applied when implementing online learning at any level.

    Important information about Bb Assignments

It is imperative that students do not submit documents to a Blackboard Assignment that contain any special characters in the file name, including apostrophes. The file will not load and the attempt cannot be properly graded.

If this occurs, the only way the attempt can be graded is by:

Clearing the student's attempt then having them rename then resubmit the file (recommended) or
typing the score in the student's attempt cell in the Full Grade Center (this is a grade override)
The document can still be downloaded by using the download icon in the Inline Assignment Grading Panel.
