Activating Your GoTo Account

Prior to setting up your first GoToMeeting or GoToTraining session, you must first activate your GoTo account. View the instructions below for details on how to activate your account:

GoToTraining Virtual Classroom in Blackboard

GoToTraining Virtual Classroom in Blackboard is used for collaborating within a classroom environment via live online class sessions. Available tools include two-way audio, multi-point video, screen sharing, drawing tools, chat, polls and tests. When a session is created, all students in the Blackboard course site are automatically enrolled as attendees.

GoToMeeting and GoToTraining

GoToMeeting and GoToTraining are used for collaborating outside of the Blackboard and classroom environment. Examples of use include distance meetings, digital office hours, video calls and remote interviews. Attendees are invited individually by email or with a session link.

GoToMeeting

Allows for up to 25 attendees, and has a simple interface.

GoToTraining

Allows for up to 100 attendees and includes a full-featured interface.

About GoToMeeting

Using GoToMeeting, students can easily collaborate with instructors, classmates, family, and friends. GoToMeeting can be used for group projects, study groups, video calls, digital office hours with instructors, and more.

Students can organize an unlimited number of sessions with up to 5 other attendees. GoToMeeting works on PCs, Macs, tablets, and smart phones.

GoToMeeting works on PCs, Macs, tablets, and smart phones. The GoToMeeting app is available in the iOS App and Google Play stores.

GoToTraining Virtual Classroom in Blackboard

GoToTraining Virtual Classroom in Blackboard is used for collaborating within a classroom environment via live online class sessions. When an instructor creates a session, all students in the Blackboard course site are automatically enrolled as attendees.

  • To enter a session: Click on the GoToTraining Virtual Classroom link, created by your instructor, that is located in your course menu. Note that not all instructors use GoToTraining.
  • For help: Consult with the instructor that scheduled the session or contact GoToTraining support at https://care.citrixonline.com/gototraining.
