Office of Classroom Technologies

Effective May 2016 - The Media Services & Distribution Center has changed its name to the Office of Classroom Technologies (OCT).  This new title better reflects the nature of the department's responsibilities which includes, but is not limited to: classroom design, installation, and technology maintenance, support of computers and associated AV equipment within classrooms, technology loaner equipment, streaming media (Mediasite) support, and Scantron exam scoring.   PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW EMAIL:  OCT@DUQ.EDU.

The mission of the Office of Classroom Technologies is to design, install, support, and maintain Duquesne's registrar-scheduled, technology-enhanced classrooms.  Our priority is to provide daily classroom support as well as operational training of technology equipment for instructional purposes.  In the event a particular classroom does not contain the desired technology, the OCT will provide loaner equipment to meet various AV needs.

Additional supported services include video streaming of instructional content, Scantron exam scoring and multimedia project based assistance.

The Office of Classroom Technologies also works closely with university schools, department and service units to provide consultation and installation services for technology needs, enhancements and renovations to a variety of spaces across the entire campus community.
