Accounting Advisory Board

The mission of this Advisory Board is to advise and assist the accounting faculty and students concerning those factors influencing the quality of education at Duquesne University. This dialogue would include the communication to the faculty and students of current issues, practice, problems and future trends within the profession affecting education. The Board is responsible for familiarizing itself with the programs, organization, and objectives of the School in order to carry out this advisory role.

The major tenants of Accounting Advisory Board's Strategic Plan include:
  • Establish Duquesne as a Destination
  • Build a Premier Accounting Program
  • Develop Highly Motivated Professionals
  • Graduate Students with Exceptional Character and Outstanding Leadership Skills

Mentor Program

The Accounting Advisory Board in conjunction with the accounting faculty established a mentoring program which matches current students with accounting professions in order to help the student better develop as professionals
