SCM Advisory Board
Duquesne University's pursuit of excellence in Supply Chain Management (SCM) education requires a focus on continuous improvement in the quality and content of our program. To support this initiative, a multi phased strategy of faculty development, curriculum enhancement and industry involvement has been implemented in the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University.
The Supply Chain Management Advisory Board provides a valuable link to the regions business executives to ensure that the content and direction of the Duquesne SCM program produces graduates to meet the professional needs of the industry. Through enhancement recommendations, opinions on proposals, and feedback on students and activities, the board provides critical guidance to ensure that the SCM program adapts to the ever-changing demands of the market.
Board member volunteers are asked to commit a small amount of their time each year to achieve these goals.
The Board will meet a maximum of three times per year (approximately two hours per meeting) to discuss major developments and issues and to make recommendations to improve the Duquesne SCM program.
- The meeting dates and agenda will be communicated in advance to provide time for scheduling and ensure a productive session.
- Members are encouraged to participate in short term sub-committee activities that will be initiated as needed to address specific issues.
- Members are asked to commit to a minimum of a two-year term, and to make every effort to attend all meetings during that term.
- Members wishing to continue their participation beyond the two-year commitment are welcome to remain on the board.
- Any member not attending two consecutive meetings will be contacted to confirm continued interest in the program.
The success of the Duquesne University Supply Chain Management program is based on the continued growth in the quality of our graduates. An active and demanding Supply Chain Management Advisory Board is essential to that quality growth.
