Marketing Mixer Breaks Attendance Record
More than 150 students learned about marketing careers and internship opportunities at the 2013 Marketing Mixer networking event on November 4.
Duquesne's collegiate marketing organizations, the American Marketing Association (AMA), Sports Marketing Association (SMA), and Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) professional sales and marketing fraternity collaborated for the first time to present this year's premiere networking event, attracting 155 students who networked, speed dating style, with 21 marketing professionals representing 18 companies, many with job or internship opportunities and all with career advice. ADP, Enterprise, Northwestern Mutual, and PNC Wealth Management sponsored the event.
Career services advisor Deb Saffer presented opening remarks and shared networking tips for the student attendees, and student planning committee coordinators AMA president Ken Doolittle , SMA president Aubrey Famularo, and PSE president Scott Sieber served as hosts and were supported by faculty advisors Dr. Dorene Ciletti, Professor Steve Greenberg, and Dr. Audrey Guskey in presenting this annual event.
