I enrolled in the part-time MBA program at Duquesne for a number of reasons, including the evening class offerings which accommodate a part-time or full-time work schedule. I was able to work part-time throughout the duration of my studies while also taking on a heavier course load when I needed to do so in a particular semester. Another primary driver of my enrollment in the part-time program at Duquesne was the availability of dual degree programs, including the MBA/MHMS dual degree.  My education and background in business coupled with my interest in the healthcare industry made this dual degree program a perfect fit for me. I knew that I would still have the level of flexibility I desired in selecting elective courses of interest to me, even with the choice to pursue this concentrated dual degree.

The MBA part-time program allowed me to build upon my core business knowledge as well as enhance my managerial skills. The collaborative environment highly contributes to the learning experience. The program has definitely benefited me.  I graduated with the skills and exposure needed to pursue my chosen career path of management consulting in the healthcare industry.

The professors consistently encourage collaboration.  You are challenged by the professors to think outside of the box and have an appreciation for the diversity of thought. The professors are intellectual, highly knowledgeable about their areas of expertise, often times drawing upon their own industry experience and insights to enhance the classroom discussions.

I would definitely recommend the part-time MBA to others looking to advance their careers. The program provides you with strong business knowledge and will expose you to the best practices utilized by organizations. The managerial skill set you will develop is a distinctive advantage.
