William O'Rourke, J.D. is the Executive Director of the Beard Institute at Duquesne University. He teaches courses in change leadership and strategy.
Prior to joining the Beard Institute, Mr. O'Rourke had a distinguished 36-year career at Alcoa. Mr. O'Rourke was named Vice President, Sustainability and Environment, Health and Safety for in September 2008. Previously, he served as vice president of global business services, Chief Information Officer, president of Alcoa Russia, vice president of audit, vice president of procurement and head of corporate staff services, corporate patent counsel and assistant general counsel.
Mr. O'Rourke currently serves on the board of the Alcoa Foundation and is also a visiting fellow at the Wheatley Institution at Brigham Young University. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University and a BS in business administration from John Carroll University.
