Marketing Mixer networking night a success!
The American Marketing Association/Sports Marketing Association annual marketing mixer networking night, held Wednesday night in the Power Center, was a tremendous success! More than 120 students attended and had the opportunity to network with professionals in sports marketing, sales, technology marketing, services marketing, social media marketing, retail, healthcare marketing, advertising, and business-to-business marketing.
This event supports stakeholder engagement, as we attracted a record number of professionals, with 40 individuals representing 28 organizations in attendance, some of whom are supporting their alma mater as alumni of Duquesne. In addition to sharing industry and career knowledge with students, internship and job opportunities were available with some of these organizations - in fact, several students were offered internships after the event, including one of the event chairs, Nicole Carfang!
The event was headed by AMA student event chairs Valerie Rodgers and Nicole Carfang, who were supported by SMA event chair Joseph Keller and faculty sponsors Dorene Ciletti, Audrey Guskey, and Steve Greenberg. Special thanks to John Lanasa, Ron Dick, and Ryan Luchs who were able to attend and network with students and professionals.
