Why did you choose Duquesne University?

I chose Duquesne University for the convenient location in downtown Pittsburgh. After growing up with Pittsburgh as the closest city to me, I loved the idea of sharing the vibrant downtown, with the separated campus of Duquesne.

Tell us about your experiences here.

Coming from a close high school community, I was not expecting to find the same in college. Duquesne proved me wrong. Every day, staff and students work together to support one another in their goals, rather than individuals operating on their own. I am grateful for the support of the Duquesne Community.

What do you think is the most valuable asset of your program?

The most valuable asset of the Entrepreneurship Program is the networking availability with out-of-classroom visits to various small business incubators, accelerators, and venture capital fund meetings. Gaining this network at a young age provides a competitive edge when searching for internships or jobs.

What is the most important skill set that you are learning?

Student life in the school of business prepares you to operate in a professional manner among business leaders, while the Entrepreneurship Program prepares you to analyze the risk of business decisions and follow through with a team-oriented business project that is applicable to real life.
