Steel City Sales Challenge

Showcase your sales skills through the Steel City Sales Challenge, sponsored by the Center for Leadership in Professional Selling at Duquesne University and Steel Dynamics, Inc.

The inaugural Steel City Sales Challenge is a one-day, two-round sales role-play competition open to undergraduate students from universities in the region. The Challenge will be held at Duquesne's Pittsburgh campus on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Students will play the role of sales professionals in this tournament-style competition, and compete for up to $5,000 in scholarship prizes.

Welcome Lunch and Overview 11:00am - 11:30am
Prepare for Role Play 11:30am — 12:00pm
Preliminary Round 12:00pm — 2:00pm
Judging and Finalists Announced 2:00pm — 2:30pm
Final Round 2:30pm — 4:15pm
Final Round Judging 4:15pm — 4:30pm
Awards Presentation and Reception 4:30pm — 5:00pm

Registration is limited to 30 students who will compete in a preliminary sales role-play competition round. Top scorers will move on to a final sales role-play round. Experienced sales professionals will serve as judges and evaluate student sales role-plays. There is an added incentive for the students to participate and perform. In addition to building their sales skills, up to $5,000 in scholarship prizes will be awarded.
