Why did you choose Duquesne University?

I enjoyed the city of Pittsburgh. I believed it could help propel me into the best possible future for myself, as far as the business school and also athletics, as I am also a football player.

Tell us about your experiences here.

It has been a wonderful experience so far. The professors are so diverse in the methods that I get engaged in each class in a specific way. The small campus feel while also being a big city is the perfect mixture. The students are welcoming, even though I have been at Duquesne for only a year, I felt right at home after just a month.

What is the most important skill set that you are learning?

I believe the best skill set I am learning here is the ability to apply all my knowledge into any aspect of life. Being a business major it is important to always aspire to be the best at what you do. This is done by always staying informed by always trying to gather knowledge. Be a leader and also be able to listen to others and incorporate their ideas with your own. This translates over onto the football field for me as well. I always want to be the best that I can be, I want to lead and I also want my teammates to bring the best out of me and this includes listening to any critique.

Is there anything else that you would like to share about yourself?

Something I love is meeting and talking to people. Hearing other experiences and input helps me grow as an individual. My mother always told me you can learn something new from everyone, so just surrounding myself with great people who push me and teach me are things that form me into who I am.
