Students on campus

Located on a bluff above Downtown Pittsburgh with unforgettable views of the city's skyline and historic rivers, Duquesne University's 49-acre self-enclosed, urban campus is both bustling and tranquil. Students are energized, in classrooms and dorm rooms, by pleasant conversations and heated debates. Opportunities to relax and rejuvenate are abundant-from curling up with a book under a tree or catching up with favorite professors over lunch at The Red Ring to working out on the treadmill in the Power Center gym.

Rated one of the safest college campuses in the nation by USA Today, Duquesne's campus is a welcoming setting where students can try new activities, discover new interests and build lifelong friendships. Whether attending a campus event or joining a student organization, students have countless opportunities to enjoy the company of others and quickly bond with Duquesne as their new home.

Often referred to as the "Bluff," Duquesne's campus is nestled between Downtown Pittsburgh, the corporate center of the city, and Southside, a popular destination for arts, culture, entertainment and nightlife. Students can access internship sites and enjoy professional sporting events just as easily as take in theatrical performances or explore museums.

The surrounding neighborhoods also provide opportunities for students to volunteer their time and talents to local non-profit organizations. The Duquesne University Volunteers (DUV) provides a framework for connecting students who share a spirit of volunteerism with agencies in need of their services.

When students arrive on Duquesne's campus, they open the door to their new home and to a lifetime of friendships, opportunities and memories.
