Leadership Portfolio

Evidence of Personal Growth and Accomplishment

Through the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Portfolio, doctoral candidates demonstrate through specific examples that they have produced substantive leadership initiatives during their program of study. Each portfolio is evidence of leadership growth and accomplishment as well as a demonstration of skills and learning.

Doctoral candidates compile their portfolios guided by a mentor of their choice from their own area of practice throughout their first two years of study. The mentor meets
regularly with the candidate to document progress using the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Impact Competencies to note progress and create individualized learning agendas.

Doctoral candidates present highlights from their portfolio during the summer of their third year. The projects and initiatives highlighted in the portfolio act as mile markers along the way as the candidate works toward completing and defending the dissertation.

The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Portfolio is aligned with the 2015 Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (formerly the ISLLC Standards) published by the National Policy Board for Educational Administration and the following member organizations:
