Certification
  • Overall GPA of 3.00
  • Currently, no Praxis test is required
  • 3 Credits of ESL and Special Education are required for the PDE Certificate

  • Submit documentation at the end of 511, 512, 513, 514, 515
  • Clearances
  • Create a Portfolio based on the PDE ITS Competencies

Certification Application Instructions

Exit Criteria for Instructional Technology Specialist
  • Maintain a 3.00 GPA
  • Obtain 75 field experience hours approved by Program faculty
  • Complete a portfolio based on the PDE Competencies
  • Complete a Reflection of Professional Practice
  • Satisfactory completion of core courses
  • The following courses must appear on transcripts (Undergraduate or Graduate level):
      • 6 credits of English Composition
      • 6 credits of college level Math
      • 9 credits of Special Education Courses
      • 3 credits of ESL courses

Online Teacher Endorsement

Certification
  • Overall GPA of 3.00
  • Currently, no Praxis test is required
  • 3 Credits of ESL and Special Education are required for the PDE Certificate
  • Field
  • Submit documentation at the end of 512, 513, 518, 540
  • Clearances
  • Create a Portfolio based on the PDE/iNACOL Online Teacher Endorsement Competencies

Certification Application Instructions

Exit Criteria for Online Teacher Endorsement
  • Maintain a 3.00 GPA
  • Currently, no Praxis test is required
  • Current, valid, PDE Instructional I or Instructional II certificate
  • Clearances
  • Obtain 60 field experience hours approved by Program faculty
  • Complete a portfolio based on the DPE/iNACOL standards
  • Satisfactory completion of core courses
  • Submit a portfolio at the end of GILT 512, 513, 518 and 540 courses
  • The following courses must appear on transcripts (Undergraduate or Graduate level):
      • 6 credits of English Composition
      • 6 credits of college level Math
      • 9 credits of Special Education Courses
      • 3 credits of ESL courses
