Doctoral Program in Instructional Technology and Leadership Admission Requirements

Requirements (All Students)

  • Master's degree in education or a technology related field, from an accredited institution

  • Minimum graduate GPA of 3.5

  • Recent scores from Graduate Record Exam (GRE) (within 5 years of application)

  • Technology competence and access to a current computer (specifications to be provided), with high speed Internet connectivity

  • A commitment to participate in the cohort-based program of study on a full-time basis

  • At this time, Duquesne University is no longer allowed to admit or enroll online students who reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Massachusetts, or Wisconsin due to federal regulations.

Requirements (International Students)

  • Submission of all academic records for any education completed since high school (Documents in other languages must be accompanied by English translation). These records must include a complete record of all courses taken and grades received as well as a copy of a diploma or certificate of completion (if the program was completed at that institution).

  • All international transcripts from institutions where more than two semesters of coursework were completed must be accompanied by an Official Foreign Credential "Course by Course" Evaluation. World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) may be used to provide credential evaluations.

  • Official Foreign Credential Evaluations are not necessary from institutions with which we have an existing partnership. See the following list of partner institutions for more information.

  • Must receive a score of 550 on the paper version of the TOEFL Exam or a score of 80 on the Internet version of the TOEFL Exam or receive a score of 7.0 on the IELTS Exam
