David Goldbach, is CASTL's Associate Director for Online Environments. David graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Graphic Communications and completed his graduate work at Duquesne University with a degree in Multimedia. David leads CASTL's efforts in design, development, implementation and evaluation of open, flexible and distributed learning. David provides leadership to all of CASTL's adjunct faculty so that graduate courses designed and maintained by CASTL fit seamlessly into CASTL's theoretical framework. David is the principal design architect for the seamless interface of all CASTL online learning environments including Teaching as Intentional Learning and CASTL's Principal Network. His instrumental role in CASTL's development of innovative online learning environments resulted in an invitation to present his work at a Presidential session of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). As CASTL's Associate Director for Online Learning Environment Development he works tirelessly to promote scholarship and effective practice in the creation, use, and management of technologies in service of learners and learning.
