Bachelor of Science in Health Management Systems / Pre-Health Track
The Pre-Health degree track trains aspiring health care professionals at the undergraduate level with a strong foundation in science as well as with the necessary skills in technology and business. Graduates may tailor their curriculum to pursue a future in anything from medical school or vetinary school to graduate programs in Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, and much more.
For students who qualify, a partnership between the Department of Health Management Systems and the Pre-Medical and Health Professions Program will help students fine-tune this critical combination of skills.
Up-to-date Curriculum Meets Today's Demands Of Healthcare Professionals
This program combines standard pre-med courses such as chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology with key courses in business and information technology, such as healthcare finance, managed care, information science, database management, and health law.
This will prove to be very valuable as physicians today not only practice clinical medicine, but also work in managed care organizations, public health, and university medical centers. This degree track provides this critical training along the way to a bachelor's degree.
