HMS Required Minors/Electives


HMS Traditional Track students must complete a required minor.  Below are the options for the minor.


HMS Traditional Track Minor Options:

Computer Science (18 credits)

  • MATH-135 Discrete Mathematics
  • COSC-160 Scientific Programming: Java
  • COSC-215 Java with Data Structures (Pre-req: COSC-160)
  • 9 additional COSC credits at the 200-level or above (3 credits must be at 300+ level)

Information Systems Management (15 credits)

  • ISYS-381W Systems Analysis & Design (must be taken first; offered Fall only)
  • ISYS-382 Data & Information Management (must be taken first; offered Fall only)
  • Three of the following courses:
  • ISYS-383 Business Intelligence (offered Spring only; ISYS-381W and 382 are pre-requisites)
  • ISYS-481 IT Infrastructure (offered Fall only; ISYS-381W and 382 are pre-requisites)
  • ISYS-483 Enterprise Systems (offered Fall only; ISYS-283 is a pre-requisite)
