Student Activities

Students in Speech-Language Pathology can become involved in a wide variety of activities on and off-campus.  While the academic program includes many opportunities to become involved in professional events, Pittsburgh offers cultural, sports, wellness, and other events to satisfy the personal interests of just about anyone.

Duquesne has an active chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association which enables students to become more closely affiliated with ASHA, our national professional organization.  To learn more about the activities of Duquesne's NSSLHA, click on the link below.


As part of the academic program, students are able to preview the profession by attending conferences and conventions, interact with students from other programs nationally and internationally, become actively involved in volunteer and service learning projects, and advocate for federal legislation that impacts the profession.  Click on the link below to learn more about these activities.
