Campus Visits

Personal interviews are not required during the admissions process.  However, we do encourage applicants to visit the school. Tours and class visits are encouraged during the academic year. We offer student-guided tours from September-April as well as an opportunity to view a 1L class. Schedule your visit online now!

Routes to Duquesne

Duquesne University is easily accessible by airplane, automobile, bus or railroad. The campus is a 10-minute walk from the downtown Greyhound/Trailways bus terminal and Amtrak rail station. Air travelers will arrive at Pittsburgh International Airport, located 30 minutes west of downtown and accessible by bus, cab, limousine or rental car.

For those traveling by car, major interstate and state routes lead to Duquesne from all directions. The main north-south highway, Interstate 79, connects to downtown through both the northern and southwestern suburbs via Interstate 279 (Parkway North and West), while Interstate 376 (Parkway East) leads to and from downtown from Interstate 76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike).

Parking Guide

Visitors coming to Duquesne University should park at Forbes Avenue garage unless other arrangements have been made.

Visitor parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may access the garage from Forbes Avenue, between Chatham Street and Magee Street.

The University does not guarantee that visitor parking will always be available.

Parking Rates

Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • 0 - 1 hours $4.00
  • 1 - 2 hours $7.00
  • 2 - 4 hours $9.00
  • Over 4 hours w/out valid ID $20.00

Saturday or Sunday and evenings, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • $6.00 for the day or night

Sunday Rate:

  • Parking is free and unrestricted on Sundays. However, the University reserves the right to restrict parking during special events and other University activities.
