    Meet Our Alumni

The Duquesne University School of Law proudly claims over 7,500 graduates practicing in every field of law. Law Alumni work as corporate counsel to Fortune 500 companies and small entrepreneurial ventures.

Alan Braverman"Duquesne provided me with a high quality legal education. The school’s professors cared deeply about teaching and were unusually accessible to their students. That dedication yielded a terrific education and a wonderful foundation for the practice of law.”

    Alan N. Braverman, L'75
Executive Vice President & General Counsel

They are directors of government agencies and public interest organizations, serve as district attorneys and public defenders, and teach at law schools throughout the United States.

Tom Kline“Duquesne prepared me for the challenges I would face as an attorney and provided me with the confidence and background needed to stand up for what was right. When I look back at my law school experience, I am humbled by how little I knew walking through the doors and how much I learned there, and how it has helped me help the people who I have represented.”

    Thomas R. Kline, L'78
    Partner, Kline & Spector, P.C.

An impressive number of Duquesne graduates are judges on the local, state and federal levels, including the highest courts, intermediate appellate courts and trial courts in more than 20 states. Among all law schools in Pennsylvania, Duquesne has produced a significant number of judges seated on the Superior Court, Commonwealth Court and Courts of Common Pleas. Duquesne Law alumni have also served as judges of the United States Court of Appeals and the Federal District Courts.

“By teaching how to think, rather than what to think, and by providing outstanding teachers and resources, the excellent education I received at Duquesne Law School laid a firm foundation for my growth as a practitioner, trial judge and appellate judge.”J

    Janice M. Holder, L’75

My career has been a blessing, and I am filled with gratitude.  But it was my experience at Duquesne Law School that shaped my destiny in this profession and beyond.  I received a first-class legal education; one which prepared me to work with some of the finest and most accomplished lawyers and judges in the United States."
