Future Lawyers Day

A Look at the Legal Profession
for High School Students

Future Lawyers Day is designed to introduce area high school students to law school and the legal profession. The day will give the students a chance to see what lawyers do and how they do it and will engage them in activities to encourage their ideas and questions related to college and the law school preparation process.During the day the students will learn to tackle legal issue themselves using a problem based on cyberbullying.

Law students from Duquesne University will shepherd the high school students through activities and presentations during the morning session, then the high school students will be transported to Pitt Law for the afternoon sessions. More than 60 high-schoolers are scheduled to participate from these and other schools:

  • Propel Braddock Hills High School
  • Propel Andrew Street High School
  • City Charter High School
  • Imani Christian Academy
  • YSD Educational Consultants College Prep
