Nicholas J. DeIuliis, Esq. presents "Producers Perspective, Public Policy Overview"
Today, the energy industry is at a critical crossroads. Development of newfound shale gas resources, ongoing debate over energy production versus environmental protection, the globalization of energy markets and the ever-rising world demand for energy continue to transform the industry. These competing interests and priorities give rise to important questions around the role of legislative bodies, regulatory agencies and the courts - from the federal to municipal level of government - with regard to land rights and energy production.
Nicholas J.DeIuliis is President of CONSOL Energy, and will add Chief Executive Officer to his title effective May 7, 2014.
He has over 23 years of experience with the company and in that time has held positions of Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, and earlier in his career various engineering positions. He was a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of CNX Gas Corporation from its creation in 2005 through 2009.
Mr. DeIuliis is Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Center for Sustainable Shale Development, the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and the Catholic Foundation Advisory Board and a member of the Industrial & Professional Advisory Council College of Engineering the Pennsylvania State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
Following the presentation will be the Bar Buddies Mentorship "Kick off" cocktail reception.
