Pennsylvania Supreme Court Adopts a New Code of Judicial Conduct

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court adopted on January 8, 2014 a new Code of Judicial Ethics that will go into effect July 1, 2014 (Rules of Judicial Administration No. 420). Among notable changes from the prior code is the adoption of provisions dealing with nepotism and service on commercial boards, including the issues of recusal and disqualification.
