Student Bar Association
The Student Bar Association is the student government of the School of Law and serves in representing the concerns and needs of law students.
The objective of the SBA is to promote and maintain effective and open interaction between the student body and the faculty and administration as well as among the students. The SBA sponsors a number of educational and social events during the academic year.
Membership in the SBA is automatic upon enrollment.

Duquesne University School of Law Adjunct Award - Fall Semester 2013
Voting ends on January 10th, 2014.
Each semester, the Student Bar Association shall sponsor an award to recognize an adjunct professor for
his/her teaching and contributions as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law. Each
upper level student shall vote for one adjunct professor which they believe best satisfies the criteria.
Criteria: Candidates must be an adjunct professor of any legal subject at Duquesne University School of Law
who has made outstanding contributions in teaching. Candidates must have taught at least one class during
the semester in which the award will be issued. Other criteria are at the student's discretion, but can include:
knowledge of the subject matter; organization of lectures, assignments and course; enthusiasm for teaching
and learning; interest in the students; sensitivity to the learning environment; and innovation of instruction.
